CUPBOARDS
:
Intricately carved solid wooden cupboards made of Cedar or Pine
wood. They have one, two or three doors .they were e used for
storing clothes and quilts. They have shelves inside. They are
in rustic wooden color or painted. These cupboards are collected
from the mountainous regions of Pamirs, Himalayas, Karakorums
and Hindu Kush, where once ancient Gandhara civilization flourished.
Influences of Central Asia and East Iran can also be traced in
the floral motifs carved on them.
