CHAIRS :
Chairs were introduced by the Greeks in the 3rd millinium BC .they can only be found in the areas where they ruled for 150 years .The mountainous regions near Afghanistan and plains of Punjab were part of their empire .Chairs being part of bridal possessions were lavishly carved. Motifs reminding ceramics of the end of 3rd millinium BC., others from Harappa and Moenjo Daro 2500 BC, Bactrian Greek rulers of Central Asia 3rd millinium BC. and the Gupta empire 320-535 BC. Wood workers using their craft skills preserved the style of carving for centuries.
